FAQ’s

Which core services do you offer?

As a brand strategist/creative I get under the skin of your organisation, your audience, your culture, and what makes you different, then turn that into a clear strategy everything else can be built from. At Strategicreative, that's the Immersion and Insight stages of the process, before any design work starts.

Do you only work with charities and non-profits?

Charities, hospices, and safeguarding organisations make up a lot of the portfolio, but the same brand-clarity problem shows up in growing businesses across shipping, logistics, pharma, energy, and cybersecurity. But across my years of working worked in most sectors, and bring this cross sector knowledge to your project. If brand clarity is holding you back, the sector matters less than the problem.

How much does a rebrand cost?

Full brand projects most often land somewhere in the low tens of thousands, but scope varies too much for a single number to mean much. The entry level ‘Immersion phase’ - an audit-only engagement is a fraction of that, and everything can be quoted before you commit to anything. Get in touch for a figure based on what you're actually trying to solve and I’ll put some figures together for you.

Do I have to commit to the full process to work with you?

No. the Immersion phase is a genuine starting point in its own right, not a taster for the rest. You can start with that to get a clearer picture of where you stand, and come back for Insight, Proposition, or Platform if and when you’re ready.

How long does a brand strategy project take?

Most projects move through my four stage process; Immersion, Insight, Proposition & Platform, over a few months depending on scope, with rounds of feedback built into each stage.

Can you help name a new organisation, product, or service?

Yes, I’ve done this many times and find the process really rewarding. helping name an organisation is not taken lightly and I personally find it a great honour to help define a name an organisation. Naming packages include workshops, name development, domain, social and trademark checks, with legal availability searches available through a specialist trademark partner if required.

What's the difference between brand strategy and brand identity?

Strategy is the thinking: why you exist, who your brand is for, what makes you different. Identity is the visual and verbal expression of that: logo, guidelines, tone of voice, application of your brand across all of your brand touch-points. Both online and off. At Strategicreative our name says it all. I do both and love them equally.

Can you help if I already have a brand strategy in place and just need the identity and design work?

Absolutely, not every project starts at Immersion. If the strategic thinking is already solid, we can begin at the Platform phase, working on the key deliverables for your brand. Using your existing strategy as the foundation for the identity, guidelines, and touch points.

What if I don't need a full brand strategy, just some creative or a simple website?

That's fine too. Plenty of work sits outside the full four-stage process, from a single piece of creative through to a simple website build in Squarespace. For anything bigger, it's built out with trusted development partners rather than turned away.

Do you do everything yourself, or do you bring in other people?

Both. Direct work is delivered personally, with one point of contact (me) throughout, and for larger projects I turn to a trusted network of collaborators, designers, UI & UX developers, social media specialists, 3D artists, photographers & copywriters. A team built around what you actually need.

Are you based in Winchester, or do you work with clients further afield?

Based in Winchester, but working with organisations across the UK. I’m also actively looking to work with organisations overseas. As most collaboration happens over video calls and online workshops, location isn't a barrier.
