A new brand for Thirty 4/7 a specialist planning & communications company focused on clean energy.
The challenge
Thirty 4/7 provide specialist communications support for renewables, infrastructure, residential, commercial and retail sectors. They wanted a new modern identity for their brand that helped them to stand out in a busy sector while reflecting their disruptive approach to the industry.
The approach
This project focused on creating a distinctive visual identity that could differentiate Thirty 4/7 in a crowded marketplace without relying on typical environmental business tropes.
The name was personal to the founder and had no direct connection to the industry in which they operate – but this disconnection was actually disruptive and memorable. Rather than trying to make the name more 'environmental,' I embraced its unique character.
I designed a dynamic identity using bold typography and a graphical slash device which splits the 4 and 7 in the company name. The same angle is then used on the 4 & 7, visually connecting them. The device is also used to contain the logo and as a dynamic element in its own right, scaling to accommodate images or text and creating interesting shapes, windows and cutouts.
The results
A distinctive color palette complements the deep purple selected as the main color. These all come together on the website and event materials creating a dynamic and constantly evolving identity that stands out in the clean energy sector.

“Chris designed our company brand, and its strength and depth means it is as relevant and defining today as it was when he created it. Having never been through the process before, I had very little idea what I wanted or how to achieve it, but Chris walked me through it, provided the guidance and designed us the assets we needed to reinvigorate our presence within our business sector.”
